Diamond Education
Understanding diamonds helps you choose with confidence. Our guide covers the 4Cs — the internationally recognised standard for evaluating diamond quality.
Cut
The most important factor — cut determines how well a diamond reflects light. Grades range from Excellent to Poor.
Colour
Diamond colour is graded D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). Colourless diamonds (D-F) are the rarest and most valuable.
Clarity
Clarity measures internal and external imperfections (inclusions and blemishes). FL (Flawless) to I3 (Included).
Carat
Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds. 1 carat = 0.2 grams. Larger diamonds are rarer and more valuable.
